Your Bioremediation Questions Answered
01. Do you invest time in sorting through items before removal?
Yes, we dedicate considerable effort to item sorting. Our aim is to ensure that nothing potentially valuable or sentimental is mistakenly discarded or donated. Prior to commencing the cleaning process, we will consult with you to compile a list of items you wish to retain and safeguard. Throughout the sorting process, our team meticulously searches for both requested and potentially significant items, including but not limited to: financial documents, jewelry, cash, photographs, valuable collectibles, and cherished keepsakes.
02. How long will it take to clean my home?
Prior to initiating any work, you will receive a precise timeframe outlining the duration of our presence at your residence or property for the cleaning procedure. In cases of severe hoarding, where the entirety of a home, basement, and garage is densely packed with personal belongings, debris, etc., we may deploy a team of four technicians for a period of up to 5 days. It’s only in exceedingly rare and extreme circumstances that our presence on-site would extend beyond the 5-day mark.
03. Can you clean blood from a couch or recliner?
Each case presents its own distinct circumstances; nevertheless, in the majority of instances, blood has permeated beneath or passed through the cushions, reaching the springs and wooden framework. When this occurs, we advise our clients to authorize us to fully disassemble and cleanse the sofa or recliner. It’s important to note that this procedure involves removing the affected sections, thereby making the furniture unsuitable for further use.
04. What if the blood has penetrated the top layer of flooring?
This occurrence is not uncommon, and in most cases, blood does seep into the surface layer of flooring, whether it’s tile, carpet, or wood laminate. Typically, blood and other bodily fluids tend to flow towards the seams and then underneath the top layer of flooring. In such instances, we recommend that our clients authorize us to lift the flooring so that we can effectively clean or replace the padding and subfloor. This approach is essential to ensure complete removal of all biohazards. Failure to address the biohazards often results in persistent odors that persist until the blood and fluids are thoroughly removed.
05. Will Hazmat Angels Pro Cleaning Bioremediation fully restore my residence or business?
In numerous cases, the carpet and flooring may necessitate removal, while fewer instances may call for the removal of baseboards and wallboard. Particularly in bathroom or kitchen areas, it might be essential to disconnect sinks, toilets, and bathtubs. Throughout the process, we ensure that only essential items are removed in our remediation efforts. Our technicians are highly skilled professionals who execute removal tasks with meticulous care and precision. Following the removal of items, and based on our initial consultation, we may engage a subcontractor to replace the removed items.
06. Do I or a family member need to be present while you clean the scene?
Certainly not! As long as a legally responsible party grants us access to the residence or business, we will handle the scene accordingly. Following the remediation of the scene, you will have the option to inspect it at your discretion. Nonetheless, we will request the signing of a “services rendered” form.
07. Who pays for travel time and lodging?
Our cost estimate will encompass all expenses associated with the cleanup process. You can either request a comprehensive quote from our office, detailing each expense individually, or opt for an all-inclusive quote for the requested services. If travel time and accommodation are necessary, these costs will be incorporated into our proposal.
